German into English (UK/US) Financial Translator, Senior position

Our client is one of the leading translation companies in the world, specialising in Financial translation. They are looking for an outstanding In-house Full-time translator to join them, on a senior level. Our client is based in the Rheine-Main area, Germany.

Key Responsibilities include Translation from German into English (into enGB or into enUS) of specialized texts in a number of subject areas, including - but not restricted to - finance, accountancy and banking, business, economics, marketing and management, IT and telecommunications, and supply chain management. This position is Full-time, In-house.

Professional qualifications and experiences include:

Good first degree in either a) German or translation studies
OR b) a relevant subject area (finance, business administration, IT)
AND a qualification in German.

Also, minimum 4 years work experience, with extensive knowledge in primarily finance, economics, accountancy and banking, business, economics, and management.

And More than 1 years work experience as a full-time In-house translator employee.

Skills Required include:

Native speaker of English (UK or US), with strong authoring, editing, synopsis and proofreading skills and Excellent command of written and spoken German.

Also, practical experience of language technology systems, in particular Trados or similar TM/terminology systems.
